Google are the biggest search engine in the world with over 60% of the market share. They also provide email services such as gmail, social networks like buzz, local search profiles – Google Places and analyitics tools to track the traffic on your website or blog.
They also have what is known as Adwords – Google Keyword Tool that allow you so view and analyize data to find the volumes, cost and location of keywords or tags that people use to search for anything and everything online.
As we know, next no-one uses Yellow Pages anymore and besides you would never get this kind of analyitical information from thumbing through the big yellow book. (80% of searches are now done online)
The Keyword Tool is an invaluable tool when setting up a website, starting a PPC (pay per click) Adwords campaign or snooping on your competitors. And the best thing is… it’s free.
There are other similar tools out there, some free and some you have to pay a monthly service or buy some software. It’s good to use 2 or 3 of these to dig deep and crunch the data when you start to get more serious about your Internet Marketing. For now however, Google Keyword Tool is a great place to start.
With the Google Keyword Tool you can set up your website or campaign using the correct keywords to attract the maximum amount of organic traffic for your service or offer. It also shows other relevant keywords that you may want to use but never even thought about.
