  5. Use at least one image in the blog post and name the photo before you upload it. The name should be a short description of the image and, if possible, include your keyword. Eg. "woman-holding-bottle-of-almond-milk.jpg". This helps with SEO and accessibility for people with visual impairments.
  6. If possible, embed a video into your blog. One of the easiest metrics Google uses to measure the validity and relevance of your post is how long visitors spend on your page. If they read and then watch a video for 2, 5 or 10 minutes, Google will take note and rank your post higher in search results.
  7. No fluff or filler, just killer content. There is no set length to aim for but 500 words should be your minimum word count. For competitive topics, aim for 1,500-2,000 words to outrank competitors.
